Are candles with crystals toxic?

Crystal candles are toxic only when they are not made with 100% natural wax such as soy wax, beeswax, or palm wax. Stay away from candles made with paraffin wax which is made from petroleum. When heated, this wax releases dangerous chemicals that can seriously affect your health.

Also, the candle should not contain any artificial wax coloring, glitter, or synthetic fragrances, which are also very toxic.

What to look for in a candle?

1. 100% natural wax such as soy, coconut, palm, or beeswax
2. organic essential oils and plant-based extracts
3. 100% cotton or wood wick
4. natural plants, herbs, and other ingredients (flowers, plants, crystals, etc.)
