The word Reiki means universal life energy in Japanese and it was developed in the early twentieth century by Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui.
The practice of Reiki is a healing modality that aims to channel a continuous energy flow through the practitioner's hands and transmit it to the client to foster balance and harmony. A Reiki session involves the client lying or sitting on a massage table, bed or chair while the practitioner gently placing her hands on various non-intrusive positions across the body.
Crystals can be used during Reiki healing sessions as an aid in healing and energy balancing to speed up the healing process. Crystals have their own healing properties and when combined with Reiki they work much more efficiently giving better and quicker results. The Reiki practitioner will place different stones on each of the chakra points to strengthen, balance and heal the whole system. There are various stones that can be used efficiently during a Reiki session depending on the practitioner's intention and the client's needs.
Crystals and gemstones placed on a sacred geometrical structure can amplify the healing energy. The universal life energy is continuously flowing through the crystals of a Reiki crystal grid, so just imagine how powerful it can be!
The following stones can be used to create a powerful Reiki crystal grid:
Let your intuition guide you regarding which crystals to place on your grid; choose your crystals with care and sensitivity, keeping the intended purpose in mind.
